Hima Bindu works for IBM as Global Enablement Leader today and has been working for the past 16 yrs . She has worked across various BU within IBM gaining experience across - HR, Business Controls , Security , Service Delivery , Account Management , Compliance , Project Management , Technical Delivery & women empowerment . She has travelled extensively across UK on her role as Client Support Manager . She progressed to work as an Executive Assistant for Vice President - IBM India in the GTS division in the year 2012 . Her rich experience has evolved her as a champion for women empowerment and a D&I advocate . Hima has won various accolades for her service in IT across various roles including IBM Bravo Award ,IBM Hall of Fame , Managers Choice Awards , Client Awards @ UKI .She is also an experienced Bharatanatyam dancer , and has performed extensively across the state , Holds the prestigious Karnataka State Level Award for Dance – Gopinath Das Nysa Award ,she has performed in Doordarshan and had recently performed in International Serendipity Art festival 2019 . She has also been a part various Women empowerment programs cross various groups . She comes from a heritage of women supporting women . A Hoopex Speaker( like Tedex hosted by Hoopsters ) for women in leadership , Single parenting & Child mental health , diversity and inclusion , work life balance and mindfulness etc .Hima was recently featured in SHE HERO’s INDIA 2020 - “ Take Charge Story “ for her story On women leadership under the title - Single women in 9 yards can still break the glass ceiling “ She was the the recipient of Corporate Diva 2020 Award hosted by HOW Forum this year as well . She has been recognised as BE Equal Advocate and is the Creative Director of Lets Inspire Series where she calls on Heros who are common people whose stories inspire . She is a Strong supporter of STEM ( Science , Technology , Engineering and Maths ) Programs for Girls and is an active volunteer to help girls from universities and Schools growing into taking the STEM education . She is a strong Women in Technology advocate and is looked upon as an influencers in her company . Hima was also the recipient of the prestigious India Insprirational Women Awards 2020 for her work in Single Mother Upliftment .
Hima Bindu is currently working on a initiative to uplift the single parents across the groups that she works with as an Ambassador to help them accept , stabalise and be independent to live a complete life without fear . She says " During my testing times , I did a lot of research to understand how to deal with certain situations and kinds of help I can get , I came across many women who were single mothers in many respects , did you know we have four types of single parents in the society today , namely – A Divorsee , A widow , A Wife who has her husband out of country , and a wife who has to earn for the whole family , as husband lost his job or is incompetent .So , its estimated 4.5 % of all Indian house holds are run by single mothers (this translates to 13 million households mothers). And I am proud to say am one among them today and have no regrets . My Idea and vision is to bring these women help to grow and feel financial , physically secure and go achieve their dreams . "

She comes from a strong heritage of Woman Supporting Woman and is a BE Equal Diversity & Inclusion Advocate who is passionate to help bring the change most needed for women empowerment . She has been keenly working on projects that help in Woman Advancement in Technology and Breaking the social taboo for Single mothers to be accepted openly in this society .
