Arundhati Devi has a very humble background. But, she was determined of become an engineer in an era and environment where, it is next to impossible for a girl child to even dream of that. However, with her hard work and perseverance, she could score a very high percentage in her 10th Board Examination and bagged national scholarship of India. This achievement gave wings to her dreams and with her mother's constant support and strength, she could not only enroll but also passed the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical stream with flying colours. Then, she had started her career in the ASEB (Assam state Electricity Board) and is currently known as APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Company Limited) as an assistant engineer. On her work front, she had shown excellent performance, for which she had been selected as Assam's First Lady SDO to head a distribution subdivision. After that, she had continued to deliver her duties exceptionally well as a team leader as well as a team player. So she had been assigned many crucial positions like SDO MTI, Area Manager for Industrial Revenue, DGM design, etc. Then She was promoted to become Assam's First Lady GM to head a Field Zone of APDCL. Finally, she was promoted to hold the prestigious position of CGM -HR of APDCL. During her career in APDCL, she had achieved many milestones.

Apart from being a full-time Engineer Mrs. Devi is a multitalented woman. She is a singer, writer, music composer, lyricist, music arranger, video editor, Reiky Spiritual Healer, Social activist, most of all she is a perfectionist. She had bagged many prizes in singing, in fact, she was awarded as BEST SINGER of Jorhat Engineering College. Many of the songs written and composed by her are recorded in music albums, youtube covers, and performed in different stages of India. She also lead an amateur orchestra group. Mrs. Devi is a SOCIAL ACTIVIST, who works for giving exposure to women and children for performing arts. She have helped women from all spheres of life to nurture their hidden talents and give them opportunities to showcase their talents in various platforms like, stage shows, radio programs and Television programs etc. With her help, guidance and support ladies of even 80yrs old age have gathered courage to rejuvenate their childhood passion of singing and performed in television programmes.

Despite of playing so many roles in her life, Mrs. Arundhati Devi is a great mother, a dutiful wife and now a Loving Grand Mother. All in all, she is a perfect example of a woman of substance.
