A Post Graduate in Geography, Triple Gold Medalist with distinction from Osmania University, PGDHRM and an alumni of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) in Business Management. I have served the nation by being a part of in the Indian Air Force for 15 long years as Wing Commander in the Administrative branch. Holds merit of being from the First Batch of Women Officers to join Air Force way back in 1992 selected out of 26000 applicants. During my tenure with Indian Air Force I have served the nation in most prestigious bases with prestigious appointments and proud to be associated with the Kargil war in 2002. As an air warrior I have been commended by Chief of Air staff and Air Officer commanding in chief central air command. I have done para jumping and holds the record in Limca book for being second lady paratrooper in India after 45 years’ gap. I am a trained parasailing instructor. In adventure sports I have done microlight flying, river rafting, sky walking and hang gliding. I have been involved in the social services both in professional and personal front. Professionally, while serving in the Indian air force, I was working closely with Air force wives’ welfare association and organised many activities for the wives and children whose husbands/fathers were away on the call of national duty. Encouraged them to be self-reliant and independent. Organised Welfare activities like visits to hospitals, leprosarium, old age homes and distribution of clothes and books to under privileged. Joining the corporate sector (12 plus years now) brought in the same legacy and involved the employees of the organisation in the CSR activities. We established school in the labour camp for the children, free meals were arranged, with all the medical checks and inoculations.
