Hema Vijaykumar Thakur is born in a small village ‘Undirkhed' in Jalgaon District, and brought-up in Bhusawal city in Maharashtra state of India, by her parents. Hema's family consisted of 6 members, eldest to 3 of her siblings along with her parents.
Since her tender age she was always keen about creativity and art, though never taught by any professional. She not only focused on her hobby in her spare time but also used to take care of her two sisters and a brother. Married at the young age to Mr. Vijaykumar Thakur who was settled in Mumbai with his family. Vijay being an engineer was always travelling to different cities for his construction related work. Hence the family decided and asked her to shift with him in Nashik. It was during this time she started getting back to developing her interest towards art and creativity and turned it into a hobby. But always kept it hidden from the world, as she was scared to be herself.
It took her a very long time understand and to find a different Hema from the one that the world has been aware of. She first believed in herself and then spoke to her husband and kids about her art and her dream. With the help of her family she then started a New Chapter of her life, the same chapter that we are now reading. Here she found herself in the art and her art depicts the power of a Woman and also shows love, freedom and a belief to trust oneself. This belief of hers made her trust herself and has made her what she is today.
