Dr. Mehak Segan is a reproductive, maternal, and perinatal health researcher and public health expert working as an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Public Health, Amity University, Noida. She is also the Chief Coordinator of Amity University Public Health Cluster pan India. She is a trained Dental Surgeon with advanced degrees in Public Health and Health Promotion and Advocacy with applied focus on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health. She has an experience of 6 years and her research focuses on gender violence determinants in homosexual & heterosexual relationships, body image dissatisfaction among women and mental health correlates, safe menstrual hygiene practices and cervical cancer related health advocacy campaigns in community-based settings. She is a passionate educator and avid public health speaker. She has delivered public health talks at many national and international forums. She works with Non- Governmental organisations for ensuring gender equality and women empowernment. She believes in educating the youth to bring in the next generational positive change in the society.
