Professional Details

Dr.S.Prabakaran was born in a small village namely, Melpalanandal near Thiruvannamalai on January 1972. He settled at Ambattur, Chennai in 1993. His parents are N.Shanmugham, a School Head Master and Correspondent, S.Lakshmi, Teacher in Melpalanandal. He studied his Elementary education in their own School namely, Dhanalakshmi Aided Primary School, Melpalanandal, which was started by Narayana Gounder, his grandfather in 1941. His parents were worked in their own school. His father took over charge as Correspondent and Head Master of the school in 1975. He pursued his School final at Government School, Tiruvannamalai.

Dr.S.Prabakaran pursued his Bachelor Degree at C.Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam; M.A (His) at Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He pursued his M.Phil research on the topic of “Mayoralty of M.K.Stalin (The First One Year)” at Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai in 1997 (now the Hon. M.K.Stalin is the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu). He did his B.Ed at Annamalai University, Chidambaram; M.A (Sociology) at Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He did his Ph.D (His) research on “Fertilizer Industry in Tamilnadu – A Study” at University of Madras, Chennai in 2003 and the degree was awarded in 2004. He received his Doctoral Degree from Hon. Surjith Singh Barnala, the then Governor of Tamilnadu, in 2005. He is a good Scholar, Teacher, Writer, Mentor, Anchor and Social activities.

Media Personality
Initially Dr.S.Prabakaran has started his career in Media as News Reader and Comparer in the year 2000 and it continued upto 2013 as News Reader (Tamil and English) and Comparer in TV Channels like, Pothigai TV (Comparer), Mega TV (News Reader), and Imayam TV (News Reader).

Teaching Profession
In 2013, he has got Government posting as Assistant Professor of History in AVVM Sri Pushpam College (Autonomous), Poondi-613503, Thanjavur, Tamilnadu. In the year 2016, he has been elevated as HOD of History and continued upto June-2021. He has published 03 Books, 05 Book Editor, 14 Book Chapters and 04 Proceedings with ISBN Number, 28 Research Papers in UGC approved Journals, Guided 25 M.Phil Scholars, Organized 04 National Level Seminars and 02 National Level Symposiums, and 17 Guest Lectures, etc. He has been conducted free IAS coaching for students in the college from 2017 to 2020.

Dr.S.Prabakaran has conducted 18 International Level Online Quiz Programmes during the Academic Year 2020-2021 and so that he has been received 5 National Awards from Five organizations, such as, HOD of the Year Award-2021 (InSc); Best HOD of the Year-2021 (Magic Book of Records); Best HOD of the Year-2021(Karnataka Educational Awards); Best HOD of the Year Award-2021 (GECL, Dehradun, Uttarakhand) and Best HOD of the Year 2021 (FireBoxx).
