Work Profile

My name is Sneha Sabu. I come from a village called Kangazha in Kottayam district, Kerala. I am an Indian citizen currently living and working in Australia. In 2020, my biography was included in Marquis Who's Who in America and in 2019-20, I was listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World, inclusion in which is limited to individuals who possess professional integrity, demonstrate outstanding achievements in their respective fields and have made innumerable contributions to society as a whole. I am currently working as Coordinator Corporate Planning and Report for Waverley Council. In 2020, I prepared a Pandemic Prioritisation Matrix to help organisations prioritise community needs while identifying projects for implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This matrix was presented to a State Government department, and I was provided an opportunity to roll out the Matrix to 60 councils across New South Wales. In 2018, I was awarded TREC Champion - Runner Up Award by the Mayor of Waverley for demonstrating outstanding working together, responsible, engaging and creative values. I have also worked with Habitat for Humanity International as Associate Director Strategy Management for Asia Pacific region. Here my focus was to prepare strategies for 18 countries in the Asia Pacific region to address issues related to housing and homelessness. In this role, I represented Habitat for Humanity at the United Nations Asia Pacific Post MDGs discussions held at Bangkok to advocate on issues related to housing. In this role, I have worked on strategies for India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Japan to name a few. I have also worked with World Vision India as Corporate Planner, during when I was responsible for preparing World Vision's Country Strategy for India. In this role, I was invited by other countries such as Laos to help prepare their country strategy. In my role with World Vision India, I developed a community development indicators book for more than 400 districts across India. This was prepared to weigh and identify districts of high need. I have also participated in World Bank Strategy for India CSO discussions. I am passionate about issues affecting children, women and communities that are impacted by poverty. My visit to Baran district in Rajasthan and the visits to one of the villages where children were suffering from Kwashiorkor and Marasmus was life changing. It is this sight that changed my perspective in life. I have also undertaken project evaluations on project that was aimed to reduce maternity mortality rates in Ballia, Lalitpur districts in Uttar Pradesh. I have also travelled and lived in close proximity to community members in Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu and in Hyderabad. I have also exposed myself to projects in slums in Maharashtra. I believe I am a strong influencer through the preparation of strategies that addresses needs of community. Recently my success story was included in Malayala Manorama Online, one of the leading newspapers with highest circulation in Kerala. The link is below. https://www.manoramaonline.com/education/achievers/2021/05/30/success-story-of-sneha-sabu-marquis-who-s-who.html I was born and brought up in Kerala. My parents are Sudha and Sabu.
