As a mother of a 4 year old son, Mrs. Sultan's passion for social work has driven her to create a sustainable business model that raises education funds for underprivileged girls. She started by helping the weavers of Bengal sell their sarees and raise funds for them. Over time, she expanded her efforts and began supporting more children. It was further possible because of her cousin Ms. Husniya Fatima who later joined her in this cause. Mrs. Sultan's dedication to her cause is truly inspiring. Despite facing several challenges, including health issues and frequent relocation due to her husband's transferable job (Indian Army Officer), she has managed to carve out a successful business that not only supports underprivileged girls but also helps several local artisans. Mrs. Sultan's background in social work and her education in Masters of Arts in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai have equipped her with the necessary skills and knowledge to create a meaningful impact in the community. Her passion for fashion designing has also played a significant role in her venture. What is most admirable about Mrs. Sultan is her ability to balance her personal and professional life while pursuing her dreams and making a difference in the lives of others. Her venture, Ikhtirah, which means innovation, is a testament to her creativity and resourcefulness. Today, Mrs. Sultan is a successful entrepreneur who has taken her business online and is counseling parents in letting their girls study. Ms Husniya Fatima and Ms Sultan are together making a real difference in the lives of underprivileged girls. In conclusion, I strongly recommend Mrs. Abriya Sultan for the award.
