I am a first-generation lawyer and come from a background where girls are not given the opportunity to speak out their views. I want to be an inspiration for all the girls to become self-made and independent by making their own choices. Initially when I joined the Bar, all friends, relatives and known people asked me to choose a different field by mentioning that the litigation profession is not for girls and suggested to try for some LPO or in-house counsel. They all were of similar view that being a girl, I cannot survive in this male dominated profession. But since I was always passionate about being a lawyer. I convinced my parents I want to set an example for the society that even women can have a voice, choose her career of her own choice and there is nothing wrong in this. I want to influence every girl out that there may be a time where people will advise you to go for something else but if you are passionate enough to be a practising advocate, I guarantee there is nothing better representing the client behind you.
I have handed the matters related to Family Law, Recovery Suits, Negotiable Instrument Act (Cheque Bounce Cases), Insolvency matters, Arbitration matters and various Civil & Commercial Suits. During my professional journey, I had appeared and argued various cases from trial to appellate stage. I have been designated as Associate Counsel to the Standing Counsel for the State of Jharkhand on the panel of Supreme Court in 2020. I had written several articles on different legal issues which are published on various legal pages, blogs and books like Live Law, Legal Service India etc. I was invited as a Judge in various Moot Court Competitions. Recently, I had judged 10th FYLC RANKA National Moot Court Competition 2021 organised by University of Rajasthan and Induction Moot Court Competition 2021organised by MAIMS (IP).
