At present I am a Sr. Program Manager in Healing Fields Foundation working for over two years. Responsible for overall functioning of HIV/AIDS Helpline. . Networking with Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) UNICEF, Department of School Education and NGOs. Responsible for documentation. Conduct training for the helpline team members and work with the community to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and publicity for 1097. Networking with allied system like Education System like schools to organize orientation program. Documentation of cases and preparing monthly reports. Set up Issues such as the evaluation system, the curriculum, the syllabus, children’s participation, and corporal punishment have been the focus of the Campaign. The issue of teacher attitudes, parental attitudes and the pressure of academic performance exerted on the students have also come under the purview of the Campaign. Responsible for the functioning of State Child Rights Cell which is run by Divya Disha in Partnership with Department of School Education. Conducted various workshops on the right of the children. Also Managed the State Chid Rights Cell as it was a voluntary initiative of the organization and it was not funded. June 2000- November 2003-CHILDINE India Foundation, Mumbai East Zonal Coordinator Worked in the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh,Kerela Zonal Coordinator: Initiate CHILDLINE service in cities and monitor the serviceCHILDINE is a National 24 hour’s children emergency helpline. .Lassoing Coordinator: Coordinating between the East Zone Office at Kolkata and CIF office in Mumbai As a part of initiating CHILDLINE in various cities, which is termed as preparatory phase, I initiated CHILDLINE in Vishakapatnam in Andrapradesh, Shillong in Meghalaya, Guwahati in Assam, Agartala in Tripura, Imphal in Manipur, South 24 Parganas, New Jalpaigudi, Murshidabad in WestBengal. In order to implement the operational strategy, we have to network with government and NGO’s. Analyse the NGO’s and select an organization that will implement the programme. Conduct Workshop for NGO’s to orient them about the project. Giving training to the team, once the project is operational. Monitoring the quality of service in the city by assessing the calls received and the follow-up done. Evaluate NGOs under the Street Children’s Scheme 2) Conducted various national level workshops for the Coordinators and paraprofessionals. 3) Conducted training for allied system like Police, Health Dept., on issues related to children.
