Dr Deepshikha Pande Katare is a Professor and Assistant Director, Head Centre for Medical Biotechnology, Amity Institute of Biotechnology. Dr Deepshikha has worked as Lecturer from 2002 to 2007 in Hamdard University and as Scientist in NIPER Chandigarh from 1998 to 1999. The research interest of Dr Deepshikha span both in medical biotechnology as well as computational biology. The major areas of her research are Neuroproteomics (Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Type II & III Diabetes), Oncoproteomics (Hepatocellular carcinoma, Lung Cancer); Novel drug delivery systems (Novel formulations, Drug Targeting); Metabolic Engineering. In 2016, Dr Deepshikha and her coworkers have reported for the first time a linked pathology Type III Diabetes in Scientific reports and also novel targets in the brain. We have also reported Gut-Brain Axis two way signaling in Parkinson’s Disease and Liver- brain axis role of 10 signature genes in Sporadic Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Deepshikha has 24 Years Research & Teaching and has successfully completed 06 research projects and 03 projects are ongoing which are awarded from various Govt. funding agencies viz. DST, CSIR, DRDO, NMPB etc. Dr Deepshikha has received various awards and honors for her research papers, she has received DST Women Scientist award in 2004 and also received travel grants from DBTCTEP and DST for International Conferences. Dr Deepshikha has published 100 research papers in International/National Journals of high repute, filed and published 39 patents and 14 patents are granted, she has authored 03 textbooks. Dr Deepshikha has successfully Supervised 12 PhD students and currently Supervising 06 PhD students. Dr Deepshikha has also proudly Supervised a DBT-TWAS Fellow who Ms. Akinsipo Oyesolape Basirat from Nigera who has been awarded PhD in 2021. Currently, DST FIST Project is being executed to develop Proteomics and Metabolomics, facility in AIB.

It was an amazing experience. The staff was really helpful and good. The Food was also yummy. It was a mesmerising experience. Also the candlelight dinner was the best part where we had a fabulous experience.
