Sangeeta

 After taking a gap of 10 years in my professional career, i started practicing law again with a vision to do good for the society and create an awareness on issues regarding gender equality, women empowerment and to help the underprivileged sections of society, women and children. In this direction, I became a member of societies and groups that work towards the said goals and also started my own professional firm with an aim to help the less priviledged people by providing them legal aid with minimal costs. I am an Executive Commitee Member of the Advocates Association of Bombay High Court at Aurangabad.

I am the president of Arihant Foundation, an NGO that seeks to educate and empower women and young girls at the grassroots levels and inculcates sustainable development values in urban and rural masses. I was recently elected as a member of the executive committee of the Advocates’ Association of Aurangabad High Court. I was also listed amongst the top 100 Women Icon by Foxclues India and have also received the nomination for the WIN DRR leadership awards amongst 153 women from 22 different countries. I am a member of prestigious international women-led organizations like - AWID, Global Network for Women Peacebuilders, Global Fund for Women and a proud commitment maker at the Generation Equality Forum, Paris.
