Adv. Sangeeta Desarda is an advocate and a human-rights activist currently practicing at High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Aurangabad Bench. Sangeeta has done considerable amount of work in the realm of women's rights and gender equality. She is the co-founder of Arihant Law, a law firm that specializes in the matters of human rights law and family law, focused on making justice accessible for the weaker sections of the society. She is also the president of the NGO Arihant Foundation. Arihant Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation primarily dedicated to educating and empowering young women and children and nurturing the foundation for a truly sustainable and egalitarian world . She is a member of prestigious international women-led organizations like - AWID, Global Network for Women Peacebuilders, Global Fund for Women, Women In Disaster Risk Reduction (WINDRR) and a proud commitment maker at the Generation Equality Forum, Paris.
