I was brought up as a child very aware of the socio economic disparities in our country.I started working while I was in high school to revive the rich cultural heritage of Bengal, Kantha and to empower women in the villages financially. I have always been a multi Tasker who ran my franchise if Kangaroo Kids in Kolkata as well contributed successfully to many other organisations. It was a challenge during COVID times to keep my group of 1000 artisans afloat. But I managed and we did come through. My belief is that women have to be empowered. They have to believe that they have to financially stand on their own feet. For only then will there be any kind of real equality we are very very far from it. I believe by empowering women we can empower the entire nation. I also believe that it is up to women to take this forward.
