Being The Real Human – An NGO Initiated by Utpal Khot
There are so many non-profit organizations working for the welfare of the animals and their rights as living entities. But today, we want to pour our special attention on the NGO of our corona warrior, Utpal Khot. His NGO, Being The Real Human works for the welfare of animals, environmental protection, advocacy, and human rights.
He started the great initiative towards the animals during the first lockdown of the Coronavirus pandemic. The Coronavirus outbreak was really something that no one was ready for at all. And just because of this pandemic, no one was allowed to get out of their house to keep everyone safe from the virus. But what would happen to our four-legged friends? Especially stray dogs. No one really gave it a thought because this outbreak was already leading to so many deaths of human beings. But as Khot saw that more than 100 dogs were dying every day due to starvation, he knew how he could put his influence to good use. He himself remembers burying over 100 dogs during the pandemic
With the help of this NGO, the mortality rate of the animals came down. Utpal and his people were feeding 600 dogs a day in Kharghar and 1000 dogs across the Navi Mumbai and Hyderabad area when the first lockdown was on. But, the practice didn’t stop at all, even when the situation calmed down. So now, Khot, his wife Prita, and his 20-year-old son Pranav continue the practice by feeding 100 dogs or more in a day. He has a whole team, and that team of Being the Real Human Foundation feeds over 300 dogs a day in the area of Navi Mumbai and Hyderabad to this day. He was also honored by PETA and PETFED for all his good work towards animal welfare.

In addition, Utpal Khot is an active and honorary Board member of the International Bloggers Association worldwide. He also managed to help other bloggers to join the association too.
