Biography

I am a seasoned Lawyer & a Company Secretary with 14+ years of experience practicing various roles within the legal framework. I hold a degree of Bachelor of Legal Science – LLB; Company Secretary (CS); and Diploma in Cyber Laws with constant distinctive merits. I am currently associated with Servier India Pvt. Ltd. and Servier International (Sri Lanka), managing the Legal, Business Ethics and Healthcare Compliance areas for the Company, for it's operations in India and Sri Lanka. I am also the whole time Company Secretary for the Company. To me, studying & practicing law has always meant been more than a profession; a dream and day by day. As I live that dream, I find myself being more and more passionate about Business Ethics and Compliance. Being a qualified company secretary, I play a significant part in the corporate governance of my company. My solution provider approach, agility and emphasis on self-learning, has allowed me obtain the candidature I possess. In the past 14 years, I have been involved in litigation, non-litigation, in-house counsel expertise, strategy, industrial relations and setting up of compliance systems. My expertise lies in legal drafting, due diligence, statutory compliance, transactions and strategy and project executions including automation of legal processes. In my recent assignment I am also managing Sri Lanka operations in my scope which is a huge exposure. I am also pursuing the GCCP certification with Master My Life, seeking a coaching certification in Leadership and Executive coaching. Leadership is a topic of my immense interest and I look forward to gaining more and more experience in understanding various facets of leadership in an organization. I work as an inhouse counsel in a reputed MNC - A French company, leading legal and compliance for the company. I am also the company secretary and handle India and Sri Lanka business. I am an associates mentor with FEA, an NGO working in the field of education for underprivileged students. I am also a leadership coach in the making. I work on the task forces of various industry organisations like IFCCI and OPPI in a working/advisory capacity. I lead the Corporate social responsibility (CSR) for my company. I am also invited as a speaker for various pharma industry events.
