My name is Pratiksha Desai, and I hail from a modest family in the serene town of Billimora, Gujarat. From a young age, I nurtured a fervent desire to carve my own path and achieve success in life. At the tender age of 18, I entered into matrimony within a joint family residing in the charming Navapur Town of Nandurbar District. With this union came the tremendous responsibility of shouldering the affairs of our extended family. During my time in Navapur, I became acquainted with the renowned Red Chilli Powder of Nandurbar and the flavorful Khichdi masala of Maharashtra. It was then that I conceived the idea of introducing these aromatic spices to my community. In 1994, I began selling them within my neighborhood and to relatives. Over time, I expanded my repertoire to include a diverse range of masalas. However, after years of dedicated pursuit, I took a hiatus from my entrepreneurial endeavors to prioritize my children's education and examinations. After a two-year break, I found myself rekindling the spark of ambition. With renewed determination, I resurrected my venture, now proudly known as Queen of Masalaa, offering an even wider array of spice blends. Every spice blend that bears my brand is meticulously crafted by my own hands, guaranteeing its utmost purity. What initially began with just four basic masalas, such as red chilli powder, Garam Masala, Dhaniya powder and turmeric powder, has now blossomed into a collection of more than 20 exquisite masalas. As the world has come to recognize renowned brands like Everest and Badshah Masala, I firmly believe that one day, the Queen of Masalaa will also shine in their esteemed company. This serves as the ultimate goal of my life. I am humbled and grateful to all those who have nominated me for the Fox Story India - “Women Face Of The Year Award 2023” With the support of this prestigious accolade and the esteemed jury members, I strive to turn my dream into a reality.
