Biography

Dr.B.BOOBA has completed her MCA degree from Periyar Maniammai College of Technology for Women, Vallam, Thanjavur , M.Phil degree from Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirapalli, and Ph.D degree in Computer Science from Anna University, Guindy Campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu,India. She is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Information Technology, School of Computing Sciences,Vels Institute of Science,Technology and Advanced Studies, Pallavaram, chennai. She has 22 years of years of teaching experience in both UG and PG at various Engineering and Arts and Science Colleges. Her research interest areas are Distributed Computing ,Grid Computing, Cloud Computing & Nature Inspired Computing Techniques. Currently she is guiding 8 Ph.D Scholars in Vels Institute of Science,Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai. Her Ph.D Thesis “A HYBRID OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM FOR PATH FINDING IN GRID ENVIRONMENT” received Best Research Paper Award from Third International Conference on Data Management, Analytics and Innovation (ICDMAI-2019), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2019. She has published 50 research papers in various National and International Conferences. She serves as Editorial Board Member /Reviewer of various National &International Conferences and various reputed journals.
