Dr.Yashi is a research-innovation enthusiast, at present her researches revolve around cancer & mental health. She has done a research project on oral cancer in which its possible to predict the time of occurrence of oral cancer in a suspected patient, She was the principal investigator, the research was funded & satisfactorily approved by ICMR.
She is involved with various organisations and has been working with the government of gujarat and government of madhya pradesh in the field of health.

1) Research project on cancer which was selected at the national level & was approved by ICMR
Cancer is still a debilitating disease that affects millions of people in India. Cancer is a preventable disease through the early identification of premalignant changes in the cavity in the early days. The screening & examination of almost thousand people across Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh was done free of cost. The screening helped in many ways, people were not even aware of the disease they have. We detected the dysplastic cells using exfoliative cytology & toludine blue at an early stage which has saved the lives of many families. We had provided them the guidance & became a helping hand to help them quit any form of tobacco, as tobacco is the star ingredient in causing oral cancers.
2) FAMILY PLANNING ASSOCIATION OF INDIA, organized a mega health checkup camp " YOG SE NIROG". I helped in organizing the program, volunteered, spoke on the topic like mental health, health-exercise & nutrition, was part of doctors team too for free checkups.
