My name is Gulafsha Ansari and I am 24 year old and in the sports for development for the past 8 years. I am running an foundation name Dreaming In A Slum where I am teaching life skills through football to underprivileged girls. 2 years ago I started my foundation with 10 girls and currently we are working with 90 girls every weekend and have 2 centres. The reason why I choose to trained life skill through football to underprivileged girls because I belong to Muslim community and I am also a girls so in my community girls don't have equal opportunity like boys but before that according to community girls can't play sports because they are born to do household chores and get married and give birth to kids. I run this foundation to change the mindset of the community like girls can play and do great in life only they need one chance and opportunity to showcase their talent. I want to create more role models like me in the community who can help to change the mindset if the community/society. I was recently awarded as Brace heart Awardee and I have also been the youngest TEDx Dharavi Speaker in 2019.
