Smita Das, An entrepreneur with the vision of uplifting the social status of the community.Her mission has been to be engaged with an enterprising project which is conceptualized with the prime focus of empowering communities, especially women and vulnerable groups in the rural area. She has focus on a series of training, capacity building and handholding support to strengthen technical and soft skills of communities, identify and groom potential grass root leaders to successfully manage and demonstrate growth in small scale enterprises pertaining to “Fast Moving Consumer Goods”.

She is a Post Graduate in Microbiology from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar with international research exposure from University of Life Sciences (UMB) As, Norway and have an enriching experience of more than 16 years in the food and beverages industry, with special focus on food processing, innovative product development, forward & backward linkages, branding, marketing and communication. She had worked with reputed brands like Hindustan Coca Cola, Om oil and flour mills ltd (Ruchi), Prime Agro food processing pvt ltd, at senior techno-managerial positions and have been instrumental not only for introducing new and innovative products in the array of offerings but also have successfully created newer markets by identification of untapped potential.

She explored into the entrepreneurship arena and set up her own dream start up Food Processing Unit - “Shresth Industries” in 2019.
